Sailing the Sound

Friday through Sunday

Our sailing weekend is finally upon us. We snuck out of work early and met at Shilshole Bay Marina. Jamie got the boat together while we munched on Other Coast sannies and watched the boat show festivities, wakeboarding in the bay.

Friday night we stayed in a private bay on Bainbridge with a great view of the city. After anchoring in (a few times) for the evening we took the dingie out and explored our neighborhood. We found a huge old construction barge and snuck aboard.

It was a dream for my camera. I could have stayed aboard all day taking pictures of the objects so foreign to me.

We snuck in and used their honeybucket before we got shooed away and went back to our boat for dinner.

The next day we spent more time sailing and each took several turns with the tasks around the ship.

Sea-lions!!!!!

We sailed into Poulsbo and took a slip for the evening.

Leaving Poulsbou on Sunday we all held our breath as we passed under a bridge that hardly looked like we would make it.

We made it back alive!!!!
