Day Before Thanksgiving - Wednesday -
I spent the day prepping for Thanksgiving Dinner and doing the grocery shopping. As soon as Doug got home from work he jumped right in as well.
We used the Turkey gibbets to make the dressing.
Thanksgiving Day - Thursday
We woke up early and finished the rest of the prep. We told everyone to arrive at 3 and for the most part everyone showed up by 4 and we had dinner on the table at 4:30.
This year we had seven people; Mom, Dad, Dawn, Marc, Jeanne, Doug and I.
Menu - We kept it pretty simple this year and it turned out well.
- Turkey
- Gravy
- Brussel Sprouts w/Pasta and Pinenuts
- Sweet Potatoes
- Mashed Potatoes
- Green Bean Casserole
- Pumpkin Pie
- Fruit Tart
Mom helped with the dishes then we pulled names for this years (our first) christmas exchange.
Then we ran down the street to see "The Road" at the theatre on 45th.
