We had a wonderful time chatting about all our favorite vacations and moments.
Here's the scoop on the big event from the Seattle PI.

Yang, owner of Wallingford's famous Joule Restaurant, went up against new Iron Chef Jose Garces. They lost by ONE POINT! We still haven't seen the episode, I guess we missed the whole thing. There was a viewing across the street at Murphy's the night it aired. We found out when we tried to walk in without reservations when Rex was visiting on Saturday.
With the exception of Tom Douglas, who defeated Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto in 2005, local chefs have lost -- Tamara Murphy of Brasa, Sabrina Tinsley of La Spiga and Daisley Gordon of Campagne Restaurant, for instance. Yang, whose cuisine has Korean and French influences, brings quite the résumé, having worked for the likes of famed chefs Thomas Keller and Daniel Boulud.
